I have a question about where you put your plugs and sockets.
I plan to have a Renard board mounted inside a CG-1000 enclosure that is then connect to separate AC and DC SSRs which will be in the TA-200 enclosures. All of this is therefore in water resistant enclosures to keep it dry.
From each SSR there will be 4 channels, thus 4 cables with a socket at the end. A set of low voltage lights will then plug in to these sockets. My query is - what do people do to protect these plugs and sockets? Is it best to get more enclosures (lots of extra cost though) or are there any other methods that people use. Leaving them out in the rain doesn't seem too sensible!!!
Also, over there I guess you would all use vampire plugs and sockets. Here in the UK we have 3 pin plugs which are themselves fused with either 3, 5 or 13 amp plugs. Would it matter that these are fused aswell as the controller itself? Alternatively, as they are low voltage LEDs is it worth getting vampire plugs and sockets shipped across and using those?
Any suggestions, ideas and hints are very welcome. Thanks!!!
