Are SynchroLights Hackable?

I purchased 3 5 sets of these for $12/each. Now they are $6 each if you can find them in your local store. Are they hackable? All of the info I read here on the site refer to previous years and they seem to change each year. I have never done any RGB/pixel stuff so I get lost in those conversations but if these are hackable I will need to learn.
